Sūradāsa Madanamohana Jī says that the thirteen lakh rupees collected at Sandīlā were offered in the service of saints and for feeding them, after which he left for Vṛndāvana. It is said that, as a revenue officer under Emperor Akbar, he sent boxes filled with stones and pebbles to the royal treasury, placing this dohā inside them. Akbar later forgave him, seeing his honesty, and summoned him back, but Sūradāsa Jī, detached from royal service, chose to remain in Śrī Vṛndāvana.
