Naval Kund was formerly known as 'Poonch Kund' due to its proximity to Poonchri village, but later it was named after the Queen of Bharatpur, Maharani Naval. By the way, this Kund belongs to Naval Krishn (ever new Krishn), so it is called Naval Kund.
Near to Naval Kund is Apsara Kund. At this place, the most beautiful damsels of the heavenly planets danced, due to which this lake was named 'Apsara Kund'.
