Lohvan
The black deity in Lohvan is sage Lohjangha, established by the demigods. Lohvan is named after the sage Lohjang. He did severe penance here to attain Braj.
The most famous pastime of Lohvan is that Jarasandha was defeated at this place. He attacked Mathura. It was here outside Mathura that he had a battle with Krishn and Balaram.
According to Vayu Purana, the prayer mantra of Lohvan :
Lohjanghanasambhuta Kalakashthaswarupine.
Sarvadhavimuktay Namaste Lohsangyake.
Originated from the sage Lohjang, the culmination of arts, free from all obstacles, salutations to you.
Lohajanghavanam Naam Lohajanghen Rakshitam.
Navamantu Vanam Devi Sarva Patakanashanam.
