Baad Gram, Mathura

Bada village in Mathura is the birthplace of Shri Hit Harivansh Mahaprabhu, the founder of the Radha Vallabh Sampradaya. This place is, therefore, a pilgrimage site for the Vaishnavas following the Radha Vallabh tradition. Shri Hit Harivansh Mahaprabhu is considered an incarnation of Radharani’s flute (Vamshi) and a Sakhi devoted to the service of Her Nikunja (divine groves). He appeared on Earth under the command of Shri Radharani to spread the nectar of Nikunja-Rasa (divine love). During the Braj Chaurasi Kos Parikrama (the 84 Kos circumambulation) with the King of Delhi, Shri Vyas Mishra came across a high mound and the Krishna Sarovar in Baad village, where he decided to pause the journey.
