Shri Bilvamangal Thakur Samadhi, Vrindavan

A 12th-century saint from South India known as Bilvamangala or Vilvamangal Thakura, performed Bhajan in Vrindavan at this place which is located in Gopinath Bazar, near to Shri Gopinath Temple. His samadhi is also located here. On his way to Vrindavan, He gouged out his eyes which were attracted to a lady on the way. Blind Bilvamangala was determined not to be distracted from the spiritual path by any material object. It is believed that Lord Krishn himself took him to Vrindavan. He performed bhajan with a pure heart in Vrindavan and have written Krishn Karnamritam, an extremely exalted scripture at this place.
