Sri Dauji - The place of Baldev at Lauhavan
Location:
Shri Dauji temple is located at Lauhavan. This is Shri Krishn’s and Balram’s cattle grazing site.
Pastimes:
Shri Baldev’s deity which is of black colour is very attractive. Shri Vajranabh established this deity here. In front of him Revati ji, Shri Baldev Ji’s wife, is seated with her eyes lowered down, respecting decorum.
It is said that Aurangzeb was stunned with the miracle of Dauji. When He was destroying many other temples was on his way looking for the temple of Dau ji.
His whole army kept looking for it the whole night but could not find it. After getting tired and frustrated he returned to his camp with the army. This was Dau ji’s miracle only.
It is known that Dauji was found in the Ksheersagar [Sankarshan Kunda] and then reestablished here.
