Bhanwar Geet

Bhanwar Geet is a unique Brajbhasha composition written by Sant Nanddas Ji, which portrays the supremacy of love-filled devotion (prem-bhakti) through the conversation between Uddhav and the Gopis. Uddhav brings the message of impersonal Brahm and detachment, but the Gopis’ deep love and devotion humble his pride. Based on the background of the 10th Canto of the Shrimad Bhagavatam, this poetic dialogue establishes the path of bhakti and love as supreme. The one-pointed love of the Gopis for Krishna is the soul of this composition.

In that moment, I shall feel truly fulfilled. This alone is the supreme purpose of my life.”
